Wiper Door Linkage Attaching Fastners - 70

The wiper door linkage attaches with an adjustable metal bracket and fastener just below the windshield on each side to the upper firewall. The AIM indicates the fastener part # is 3841230 (I hope this # is correct). I'd appreciate a picture or description of the fastener and where to obtain them. Thanks for helping...Clark

GM #3841230 was not available in SERVICE from GM. However, it is a 10-16 X 1/2" hex head tapping screw with a flanged (washer) head of 0.40" OD. It is 5/16" across-the-flats (wrench size) and is phosphate-finished. You can obtain reproductions from AMK Products.

      Hi Clark,
Here's a picture to go along with Joe's description and spec.

Thanks Joe and Alan. I was able to locate the screw on the AMK website and the part # their catalog referenced is the same one I pulled from the AIM. The picture confirms the item. I was ready to order until I saw the $30 minimum, $8 shipping plus $3 for the part (works out to $20.50 per screw). Think I will search my substantial screw collection now that I know what to look for. Thanks again...Clark
