    Timing a Corvette

Since the battery is in behind the seat, can I set a separate battery along side the car and use the power from that to use a timing light? Will it work? Thanks, Don

I would think that you would have to ground the second battery to the car.

Much easier to use a 12V power point under the hood. The red wire on the back of the alternator works perfectly.
