C2 Convertible Top Warning Tag Protector

All the nice blue painters tape I put over my convertible top warning tag blew off at 75 mph yesterday and the tag just flapped in the breeze.

Anyway, while at last years Florida Regional, as I recall, someone was selling a firm plastic protector for the Warning tag. It snapped into place over and under the top to cover the tag.

Has anyone seen this or know where it's available for sale?

Paragon sells them, tried to put mine on and it broke in half, some heat would have helped.

What keeps the plastic from flapping and hitting the top and the paint?

It is hard plastic, that's why you need a heat gun to help get it on.

Is there a source (vendor) that sells the soft top tag? I was able to protect mine for 24 years after replacing the top but it was lost.

When I was showing, I always bought some extras from Knocks and stuck one up there to show. Its rather silly to try to save a tag that was ment to desolve with water.

The plastic cover arrived from Paragon today. With the help of a hair dryer on high and hot the plastic cover went on in five minutes without breakage. Looks fine and looks like it will stay there unless I take it off.

I believe Paul Mazut sells these. Get it good and hot with the hair dryer. Mine broke.

When I see these tags, all I can think of is Minnie Pearl.

Guys, just take one of the plastic name tag holders you get from a Regional, cut it up a bit, and use the magnets that come with it. I did that on mine and it works GREAT!
