1972 - Original Owner Located
Thanks to Bill Gould a two year search with several dead ends came to a great conclusion a couple of weeks back when the original owner's son contacted us. He had located Bill's letters among his recently deceased fathers papers and phoned. His father had been ill for a while and unable to respond. The son was with his father at the time of purchase and knew the history of the car and has promised what photos and paperwork he finds will be headed my way. So far he has sent a photo of his mother with the car in 1972.
We had reached what we thought was a dead end with the owner off the car in 1977 who was the 16 year old son of county music singer Jean Sheppard. But sometime later I lowered the spare tub and found some belts with a receipt with a name on top of the original spare. With that lucky break we were able to finally locate the original owner.
I would like to thank Bill again and would highly recommend his service.
