Bowling Green - Carlisle Suggestions?

Please excuse this non-technical post, but I know there's a wealth of knowledge out there on this topic.

Heading out next week to Bowling Green to visit the National Corvette Museum and the assembly plant. Then on to Corvettes at Carlisle. Not taking my one Vette because almost all of the interior is currently out. I hope to visit with any / all carpet suppliers at Carlisle to get a firsthand look and feel of their offerings. I also plan to attend the weatherstripping seminar as that project is on my to-do list. Of course I'll visit the NCRS Gallery.

This will be my first visit for Bowling Green and Carlisle. Any tips / suggestions that might help me get the most out of all? Any other must-see sights between Carlisle and south Louisiana?

Since you will be visiting the plant you must have closed toe shoes, cameras and cell phones are not allowed, so it is best to leave them in the car. I would do the plant tour in the morning so I would have more time in the afternoon for the museum.

We were in Bowling Green last month, had a great stay at the Hotel SYNC and had a great meal on Miki's on Main. Would highly recommend both! Have fun!

At Carlisle...unless you have the patience to wait in line for considerable time...get there early! I mean like 7:30 am.

Hi Michael,
I think you'll be amazed when you see Corvettes at Carlisle!
It is often very, very, hot that week, so be prepared with some cool clothes, head gear to protect your brain from the intense sun, and have lot's of water to drink.
Now that I've cautioned you it will probably be cool and cloudy for once, (but that'll be just fine).

Long range forecast is for typical Carlisle weather, mid 80's but feeling like low 100's with the humidity. Sunscreen, hat, and water will definitely be the order of the day again this year.
