    AcoustiHood protective panels

Has anyone tried this product, especially if you have a/c?

Other than a 'decorative' element to underside of the hood, I'm not sure what purpose they serve? Seems they would hold more heat in the engine compartment than allowing it to escape. They don't insulate the bulkhead.

I was also wandering where that heat would go. I was looking for a protection against any R12 leakage. I do have a shield covering the compressor.sometimes there is a small amount of freon leakage around the STV valve, the Dryer or other connections. Sometimes the leak is so small, maybe l,lb in 2 years. Is there a protective paint that could be used?
