Faint Ink on Tank Sticker

I dropped the tank on my '67 and there are portions of the tank sticker present. The ink is very faint and hard to read, does anyone know how to enhance the ink to make it readable?

Tim, try shining a flashlight from underneath the tank sticker....It worked with mine......Keep us posted.....ARA

I've yet to remove it, Ara. I think it's on the tank for good. It is a very fragile example of a tank sticker.

If the tank sticker is still on the tank, I don't believe Ara's suggestion will work. Have you dusted it off (gently...horse hair brush) as clean as possible? I would just take pictures with a high resolution camera and see if you can enhance the photos. IMHO.

Take a good in focus Pic of it. Use the edit feature on your computer to expand it, or bring out the faded lettering It's only a picture, so you can play with it.
