    Convertible Top Frame Powder Coating

I am in the process of restoring the convertible top frame for my 57 corvette. I was planning on having the frame parts powder coated but after taking the side brackets to the coater, he pointed out that a couple of swivel joints have a plastic or nylon spacer between them. His concern is the baking oven runs around 350-380 degrees Fahrenheit and the spacers might melt!Has anyone had their frames powder coated and if so, any issues with melting spacers??ThanksDave

I remove the tack strips before coating and replace with new after coating.
