65 wiper arm repair/help

On my 65 the long stainless covers that go on the underside of the wiper arms that cover the long spring have became loose at the end where they should snap into the notch. Is there a way to reattach/fix these so that they snap/go back into place in the notches that are there? I am afraid if I leave them loose they will scratch my new windshield. The springs themselves appear to be attached nice and tight.

Jimmy,
Are the small ears nice and square without any kinks in the metal. If ok they should just bow and pop in. If not you need to make "corrections" to the shape. I do not suggest doing this on the car.
