1971 Water Pump heater hose fitting and correct clamps?

Hi Guys

Got my new water pump from Bill Mock. GREAT recommendation. Thanks.

I need to get a new heater hose fitting. My old one is frozen on there. when I put it on, do I paint the water pump with the fitting on or does the fitting not get paint? Just want it to be correct. Bill told me the pumps are painted when on the engine so I am going to set it on some newspaper with the bolts in place and spray it. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Also, what are the correct clamps to use for the heater hose and for the lower radiator hose? I got a new GM radiator hose.

The heater hose fitting doesn't get painted - it was zinc-plated, and installed at St. Louis, not at the engine plant.
