I realize that this has been discussed many many times on this board. Getting ready for a trip with my 68 Vette and will use "R" hooks to
tie down the rear of the car. Picture is below that was supplied by Terry "M" a long time ago. When I put the "R" hooks in the holes of the
3rd crossmember I can not twist them fully as shown in the picture. They twist to about a 45 degree angle. I do criss cross the straps as
recommended by Dick "W" so the angle is not that bad. I can not fully put that one flat part of the hook flused with the crossmember. I don't see a problem as it is not going
anywhere but just wondered if this has happened to anybody else?? Comments Please. Larry
