Thanks for the reply and photos. The weights look the same other than yours have holes drilled on the ends. Also, your springs are definitely different, and I believe they are aftermarket as I don't recall any GM springs that ever had bright plating. Typical was black phosphate.

I weighed my weights and they are about 0.69 ounce (19.5 grams), each.

Can anyone else with a 365/375 HP engine contribute to this thread?

I attempted to set up a non 365 hp distributor to the 365 hp specs. It was close (faster) but not correct. I did find from fellow chapter member an NOS 365 hp distributor. It set up on the Sun close to spec but not exact a bit slow for my liking. So changed to lighter springs and about as good as one could get it. Put that in car with timing bumped up a couple degrees and it ran REAL nice.

I tried a few different weight set ups on the 365 hp distributor but all of them did not fit with the football profile either too loose or to tight to go in. It has a different profile. I did not want to do any recutting on profiles to the originals as they are hard enough to come by. So I limited it to springs.
