Hello All, in going thru the archives I read Thread that the NGKBP5ES is a substitute plug for AC45XLS for big block applications. In going on the NGK website earlier today, they recommend NGK 2851GR5 (nickel plug) or NGK 3351GR5GP (platinum plug) for a 66' Big Block application, with no reference to NGKBP5ES, anyone familiar with the 2851 or 3351 plugs? thanks

Re: NGK Spark Plugs for C2 Big Block
The 45XLS crosses to the BP5ES in my old NGK catalog. Both are non-resistor, copper core, nickel electode.... what I call a "two dollar spark plug".
The BP5ES should work fine. I don't see the point of spending several times the price for a "100K mile platinum electrode plug" on a car that sees low mileage accumulation with time.
The four digit numbers are the NGK "stock numbers" for the respective plugs - usually a box of four, sometimes 10. The "R" in the plug designator means they are resistor plugs.
The stock number for the BP5ES is 7832 - box of four.
