1964 Air Conditioned Cars

I'm looking for any early 1964 AC owners that have pictures or remember the style of muffler that is on their '64 air compressor. The late 64 compressors had mufflers with schrader valves going out of the sides (inboard, outboard). I'm looking for dates of early 1964 cars that have 1963 style mufflers with valves pointing upward. Ultimately, I'd like to verify that early 1964 cars did have 63 mufflers. Jerry Duffey 12294

Hi Jerry, I restored 64 AC Coupe in early 80s. The muffler mounted on the back of the compressor had valves pointing up with caps on them. The car is listed in Noland Adams book, vin 8477, late 63 build.

Thanks Dan and Dino, that is what I was looking for. The dates are right were I was thinking they would be. I have some cars from February and later with the second design muffler. Jerry
