Wiper blade refills on a '64

Does anyone have any suggestions on replacement wiper blade refills that will fit in the original Trico blades that do a better wiping job than those original types with the nubs on them I use for Flight judging?

Mike, Have you tried just getting a set refill at the auto parts store? I Believe you can still buy refills. although not generally stock at the stores, most store have a warehouse they deal with. If you can get the refills but the metal inserts don't configure to the original blades just use the metals on the wiper blades on the car now.

      Michael,

O'Reilly Auto Parts stocks Trico replacement blades. Buy the complete arm and blade for less than $20 apiece. Pop right in.

Thanks yes I am just looking for the rubbers, not the blade/holder. Need better rubber than the ones with nubs that will slip into the blade/holder.

Thanks. I just wondering if there were any super-duper rubber refills available with the new high tech materials like Bosch has.

You mean you drive in the rain!!!

I have only got caught out perhaps once or twice in the past ten years, and the it was just too light to even turn on the wipers. I have the correct rubbers in mine also. I bought them at a Corvette show for $35.00 bucks.

Thanks guys, yes I do drive in the rain sometimes (out here the storms come up fast too), but my immediate focus is PV and getting that clean, complete first wipe with the Tricos to the rubber.

To close the loop on this, after much trial and error, and searching auto parts stores, I located some Bosch refill rubber that was the 15", fit the Trico blade holders and was taller and much more pliable than any of the Tricos, old or new. It wipes completely in one stroke, problem solved.
