Let me start off and say this distributor came off a non running car and is properly numbered and dated coded. Also... I have never worked on a dual point. Let me know what you see and your concerns....besides the atypical damaged housing from a worn tach cross gear.
There are several things I expected to see that I did not find, first there is no ground wire from the plate to the housing... Typical attached to vacuum can... This dual point is only centrifugal. Second, I did not have a retainer clip on the shaft, third there is no bushing on the pin on the advance football..fourth no felt or plastic washer.. Your thoughts are appreciated. I assume this has been worked on and fiddled with and assembled wrong
