Well said Tom, especially the last part. Some think (me) tomorrow never gets here. Ed

He was Garners chief mechanic. photo taken at shop in Culver City. Down the street from Jeff Reade's current shop. Dick should know his name.

He raced vettes for a period of time out of Gordon Wilson Chevrolet out of Murray Utah. I have some pics of his vettes in their showroom. I know because my maroon 67 coupe 390 was sold there new and the original owner of my car is still alive.....and still lives at SAME address as listed on the POP after all these years. I have pics of the front of the dealership with signs in the front windows saying come see Garners Corvettes. He was one cool cat. RIP James. Ara

Great show. I still record and watch them occasionally. Next time you watch it, think about him having a cell phone (or a computer). If he would have, there wouldn't have been much of a show.

I believe that he once said that filming was hard on his knees, and that the filming schedule didn't give him time to properly heal between surgeries.

That was great those pictures. I remember when I was in the US Air Force trying to order a 67 thru the PX none were obtainable because Bob Wingate had them all at the dealership he worked for. Corvettes back then were low production vehicles. You could not at times get one.
