I am doing some market value research and I am trying to determine the market valuations for 56-57 cars with the Powerglide transmission. Does anyone have
any hard data/knowledge on how the power glide versus manual transmissions affect the value of these cars? Of the approx 6300 '57 cars produced, 1393 had the
power glide option. Of the 3467 '56 cars produced, 3080 cars had the 225 Hp Engine, and about 50% were manual, and 50% were Powerglide cars. So it seams that
the power glide trend decreased significantly going into '57. Thanks Tony
