I'm putting a generator together and I'm not sure how to install two bushings. One of the bushings is real thin and the other one is thicker. I need to know where the bushing go. I think they go on the front shaft with the thin one going on first then the thicker one then the front plate with the bearing. Pics would be very helpful. I also need to know if the front plate and the rear plate is painted on a 58.If painted, what texture? ( gloss, semi gloss, flat, semi flat). I know the tac drive is not painted.

Re: 58 generator bushings
Brandon,
It's a 1102043 right? If so the drive end(pulley end) is cast aluminum and is unpainted. The rear is cast iron and typically gloss black. The main case is semi-gloss black.
Check this link near the end of the page for pics of the large bushing. It goes on after the drive end frame is installed but before the pulley. I'm not sure what the other thin busing looks like that you're asking about. It may be shown in this picture.....

Re: 58 generator bushings
Thanks Rich, the pictures helped a lot. The thin one is a spacer washer that goes on first and the wide one is a spacer collar that goes on after the front plate. Thanks for your help.- Top
