      Don -

      WR and 3.36 - great all-around combination. That's what you got if you ordered a 250hp or 300hp 4-speed and didn't specify an optional axle ratio.

        Don, try taking-off in 2nd than shift to 1st. Don, try taking-off in 2nd than shift to 1st. Sounds like a linkage problem. This would explain the "down shifting" and cold problem. Ed Bauscher

          EJ, That would fit the odd operation described. Only way that comes to mind to make the linkage perform like that would be to install the side cover levers pointed DOWN!!!! Not sure the levers would even reach. Don, are either of the shift levers pointed to the ground roughly even with the bottom of the side cover?Chris

            Here is a pic I have of it before going back into the car. The tranny is currently out of the car and has been taken to transmission guy for full inspection. Will report back soon
