Hi,I purchased a repair kit for my 63 hanger and I'm looking for the proper way to "crimp" or "squash" this attaching rivet. Any thoughts? Thanks,Jerry

Gerald, You will need a tubular rivet set of the proper size. They are availible here... http://www.rivetsinstock.com/rivet-t...vet-tools.html- Top

Jerry, if you have a old round punch that's big enough you can dish it out and lay the hanger on a flat section of a vise and flatten the rivet, really likely you will not see the flatten side if you face it to the cross member side. and should work fine.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top

Ed,I do have some hole punches. My vise is not big enough to open that wide. I may try to lay the hanger on an anvil base and use a hammer to drive the punch into the rivet. That might work??Jerry- Top
