    Road Tours 2014

I know some have already started, and many will soon, but wanted to wish all the participants a safe journey and good times with friends along the way. Mine starts soon, and I look forward to seeing everyone at LNO and on to Kansas City and the parade in. Good luck!

    Michael,

I'm meeting up the Rocky Mountain Chapter road tour on Friday at the Air and Space Museum between Lincoln and Omaha Nebraska on Friday for a tour of the museum. Going to be in Independence for the last night out party and then into KC on Sunday. My eleven year old son is once again my navigator this year. He had it easy traveling on air conditioned comfort in my '08 Z06 last year. This year we are driving my '64 convertible that will be flight judged for the last time.

    Have a safe trip!

    Regards,

    James West

Retired my 62 from flight judging as it received the Duntov at the San Diego nationals in 2012. Will be traveling with the Canadian tour in our 2012 Grand sport. Found it in a small town Ligonier, Indiana with 21 miles on it last September. Have not had a chance to even figure out all the "bulbs and whistles" yet. Will appreciate any guidance as I so "old school".

That will be a great car for the trip, automatic I assume? If you can figure out the navigation package (if so equipped, and one of the worst GM made that year), the rest is easy.

I am taking my newly minted '67 L79 Duntov convertible on the Road Tour. The radial tires are on, the alignment is done, all the chassis bolts are tight, and the gas tank is full! Wohoo!7564696220_18fcc92973_k.jpg

Very nice "retirement" present for the car and you! Time to enjoy that car.

Our Canadian RT had a kickoff party in Bolton. Our 60th is ready to roll. On another note, our 1956 Red which was restored in 1993 to Duntov Award and driven to all of the qualifying and National event just came back from the alignment shop.
It is great news when you take a Duntov car and drive it to seven National events in a row. The King Pins and the outer tie rods were worn out!
Off this am for Kansas City.

We are meeting the Road Tour at the Corvette Plant this morning at 10 o'clock, then to the museum to see the sinkhole.
