There is a step-by-step in the Chevrolet Chassis Service Manual. That and the Chevrolet Ov erhaul Manual are good books to have if one is going to work on their car.

If it's a quality rebuild, most of the adjustments should have been done by the rebuilder. You will probably have to finish-adjust idle mixture and idle speed, though. Follow the procedure found on your car's emissions label (driver side firewall).
By the way, I've installed new Q-Jets and had them run PERFECTLY out of the box with absolutely no adjustments, at all.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
