    Front crossmember swap

I'm getting ready to swap out the front crossmember on my 69. It has a dent in the area where the right bumperette bolts up. Is it necessary to support the nose when the crossmember is removed? It looks like the only thing that will be holding the nose up are the lateral bolts from the bumper to the frame extension. I'm hoping I will not have to realign the front bumper and core support after the swap.

If all you are removing is the cross member and are leaving the bumper supports you will be OK without additional front end support.
