Re: 69 side post battery cut off switch?
I had one of the WirthCo knife switches in my 69. Worked well. I liked it much better than the green wheel.

Re: 69 side post battery cut off switch?
When properly installed, the posts on a side post battery are almost directly under the front part of the frame, so you might not have enough room for a blade type disconnect. I use one like this on my car with no issues. Easy to get your fingers around the knob even though you can't really see it.

Re: 69 side post battery cut off switch?
luckily that R79S battery mess was only late 69 production. When they swapped to the R89S/W the posts were on the other side of the box and you can use a quick disconnect there with no issues.
I finally decided to unbolt the NEG battery cable from the frame rail. It turned out being easier and less damaging to my knuckles then messing with the quick disconnect.- Top

Re: 69 side post battery cut off switch?
Hi Don,
I bought mine from Restoration Battery. They run an ad in the driveline. It is the knob type. Mounting the blade type on a late 69 with forward facing side terminals would be difficult if not impossible. Be sure to mount it on the negative post.Larry
