Mike, My very first thought was having it at the Mecum site. There's plenty of room for it there. Maybe the cost would be too much? I think someone should look into it for next year! I bought a Time share in Kissismee just for car stuff and now I'll probably get a motel room besides.

Hi all, In the process of my late decision to attend the event, I started searching for a hotel using Tyler's list he obtained from the Lakeland Chamber, and decided to add some ballpark list pricing and links to the hotels listed. See below. I embedded the list here so I could add the clickable links.(edit, can't do that here cuz of WS limitations. If you want clickable links, go HERE.) It's not perfect, but it'll get you there quickly. Remember you still have to call to get the discounts. I've also attached the Wordpad list(sorry no clicky-links) at the end of the post if you want to print it out or save it locally.

Went on Priceline.com Monday and searched for a 3 star orbetter room. I input $65.00 for 21 – 24 Jan. and it was accepted.

HYATT PLACE Lakelank Center. Advertised price of $119.00

Don’t know if anyone else wants to take a chance but wefigured since already away from the meet grounds a few miles either wayshouldn’t matter that much.

It looks like there's so much space. Nice. A taxiway right into the vendor area. People can fly in, pick up their parts, and fly out.

In the past the event registration has been in the parking lot of the host hotel, Where is the Registration desk located this year?

I understand the 1/22 Judging School is at the Airport in the Piedmont building across from the Museum, correct?

Working with Tyler and Tom, I did a few maps and some notes from them about the parking, etc. I think it's pretty accurate at this point. There may be a few hiccups that will show up when we all arrive. I'm going there Weds early AM for the week. I'll be at the Vendor Gate with Tom Weds/Thurs and bouncing around where needed by them.

You can right click and open in a new tab or window, save and print. I ran out of ink with all of the versions I made.
