Parkerized stabilizer bar brackets

In the collection of stuff I have assembled over the years for the restoration of a 67 convertible, I found a set of NOS looking stabilizer bar brackets. To my surprise, they seem to be parkerized like a military firearms rather than painted a low gloss black like the NOS C3 stabilizer bar brackets in my collection.


Is this typical of C2 brackets? I wondering if they should be painted since they already have a pleasing factory-appearing finish?

Pat,

During the years of collecting I have also found some brackets, bolts, etc. that have that parkerized finish. The originals installed on the 67 had the low gloss black finish. I believe the stabilizer bar brackets were dipped along with many pulleys, brackets and hardware used for assembly.
