Driving to a Regional?

I'm considering entering Flight Judging at the New England Regional in Sept. (this will be my first regional). I was going to drive, it's about 560 miles. Do I need to document my mileage in any way or do they just take your word on it?
Once I get there, is there a location/facility to clean my car or do I need to find a local car wash?

The meet judging chairman, or his delegate, will take your word for the miles you drove. Be sure to bring your proof of ownership and insurance with you.

Most regional events will have a hose for washing your car, but this is a local matter and you are best off asking the people who's names are on the registration form. They will be in the best position to advise you regarding the specifics of that location. You will most likely have to bring your own washing supplies -- bucket, your favorite soap, wash mitt, drying equipment and whatever else you want. I have been to meets where some of this equipment is provided, but one can never count on it. I have also been to a meet in California where washing your car was prohibited, and local car wash information was provided with the registration packet. As you can see, it is all over the place. Ask the folks running the event.
