    '58 Heater Switch - Help!

I had the heater switch for my '58 rebuilt by a frequent advertiser in the driveline. It worked ONE TIME and promptly broke again! Is this a problem child/poor design situation? Or maybe just a coincedence? Any info would be appreciated.

YOUR ARE RIGHT. THE DESIGN IS WEAK. I ASSUME THE RESISTOR WIRE BROKE.I FIXED MINE BY REPLACING THE RIVITS ON THAT EXTERNAL RESISTOR WITH A 6-32 BOLT AND NUT. SOLDER WON'T WORK BECAUSE IT GETS TOO HOT. YOU MIGHT HAVE TO PRY THE TABS ON THE BASE TO GET INSIDE SWITCH TO SEE IF ALL CONTACTS ARE BEING MADE. IT WAS PRETTY SIMPLE INSIDE.
