Was going through my new 68-69 JG and came upon this item, "Consumer Information Sheet" which was "included" in the 69 owners packet, along with the owners manual, etc. What is it? I noticed that the JG did not mention the WS and HL Washer Card. Is that it? Went through Bizzoco's 69 book and could find no reference to this "sheet". Chuck

Re: 69 Owners Packet. Consumer Information Sheet
Chuck, I have a few photos of the "Consumer Information Booklet" one of the 1970 Registry members submitted to the online Photo Archive. It's in the Resources / Photo Library / Documentation section. I don't know if it's similar to the 69 booklet or not. Maybe someone else can look at the '70 booklet pictures online and comment. ~Juliet

Re: 69 Owners Packet. Consumer Information Sheet
Chuck----
I have the complete contents of the owner's packet that was included with my car when I took original delivery on September 30, 1969. There is no "Consumer Information Sheet" which is part of that package. Of course, such a sheet may have been included with cars delivered at other times during the model year.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: 69 Owners Packet. Consumer Information Sheet
Chuck, I have seen 70 to 76 Corvette Consumer Information Booklets, but never a 69. The 70 and up pieces were specific to Corvettes(as well as other Chevrolet models) and were in fact part of the factory glovebox items shipped with the car. Consider yourself lucky there is not one for 69 as the later Consumer Information booklets are hard to locate. I believe 69 had a headlight washer card which is real difficult to locate.- Top

Re: 69 Owners Packet. Consumer Information Sheet
Thanks Joe and Dave. I too have NEVER seen a 69 Consumer Information "Sheet", or booklet for that matter. I have seen the 70 and up booklets. Juliet has a nice link posted here which shows the 70 Corvette Edition. I do have the headlight washer card and all the other items listed as "originally included". Re: 69 Owners Packet. Consumer Information Sheet
My experience has been that interior judges are not "up to full speed" on glovebox items. It takes a lot of studying to differientiate reissue paperwork from original stuff and many judges(and owners for that matter) have not studied it enough to seperate the plethora of different possibilities. Many original tags etc. were quite basically designed and repros resemble originals. I have found many Corvette owners are uneducated about glovebox items and lots of confusion exists. I know I'm still learning.- Top

Re: 69 Owners Packet. Consumer Information Sheet
And while I recognize we're talking early C3 documentation...by the time GM got to late model C3s (post 75), the volume of documentation increased substanially. While I had most for my 78, it was not complete and our tech reference just touches on documentation.Tom Russo
