Yes it is possible. The cookie that is left on your machine by the discussion board scripting has been lost or corrupted. Notice that the board did not welcome you by name. It has recognized that you have visited before, not sure why it says you have 2500 New messages. 2500 is the maximum number of messages that are stored on the board before they go to the Archives.

Since you successfully posted a new message you have reset your cookie and it should behave normally until next time it gets corrupted.
