I have a 1962 340hp with carburetor which appears to be an AFB 3310S which is stamped 3269S. Is this possible? Thanks, Mark

Re: 1962 Carburetor 3269S vs 3310S
Not sure what's the problem here???? The '61-62 Judging Guide book lists AFB 3269S as the correct carb for al '62 340 HP engines. The 3310S model is only called out for 300 HP engines with PG transmission....- Top

Re: 1962 Carburetor 3269S vs 3310S
Mark--
They were identical externally (visually). The problem is, a 3310S has a very limited market, while the 3269S is a much broader market, especially with everyone building a 340 horse car from whatever wrong-motor car they purchased. I wouldn't be surprised at what you have--it will function well--it's just not original.

Re: 1962 Carburetor 3269S vs 3310S
Thanks for your input! I think this carburetor must be an imposter. The base of the carburetor looks different where the choke base attaches. I guess someone must have restamped it to make it look original. I bought the carburetor at bloomington a few years ago from someone who said he took it off of his 1962 years ago. I guess he took me. Thanks, Mark- Top
