zig zag springs C2

While replacing my zig zag springs in my 1966 seats , the old seat bottom springs bow upward ... but the old seat back zig zag springs seem to bow backward.
is this correct? i do not want to replace the back springs with the bow pressure going the wrong way?

Pierre - I am just about to recover my 1966 seats, and the bottom springs do bow up. I just cut open a back to check for you, and they do bow backwards not forwards...Craig
