C2 Coupe Vinyl Installation

I am replacing the small piece of vinyl at the base of the rear window on my 1966 coupe. The new vinyl I received from Eckler's has no foam or backing - I don't recall if the original one did or not. Assuming what I received is correct, how is this installed? Do I use the 3M spray adhesive and a roller to smooth it out? Any help, as always, is appreciated.

I used the 3M spray - the heavy duty version - and it came out fine. It's a messy job, and you need to carefully mask off the rest of the compartment, but this stuff really holds.
