'57 Heater Delete Details

Can someone tell me what a true heater delete '57 looks like. Are the heater outlet/inlet on the water pump plugged and, if so, how? Are the cockpit knobs replaced with blank ones? What covers the hole in the firewall? Is the same insulation used on the interior firewall in either configuration?

The engine had square-head pipe plugs in the intake and the water pump, and the dash knobs were dummies with a nut and washers on the back side of the panel. There was a stamped sheet metal cover with sealer that covered the large hole in the dash for the heater, and a scrap piece of fiberglass was bonded over the holes for the heater hoses; the dash insulation mat had no hole for the heater. All of this is shown in the base section of the A.I.M., as the heater was an option; a no-heater car wasn't really a "heater-delete", as it wasn't standard equipment - if you didn't order it, you didn't get it.
