    Wiper Transmission Posts-'59

    I'm about to replace the threaded posts for my wiper transmissions, because they are badly damaged. Are there instructions anywhere? I do not find them on the Corvette Restorer CD. Paul

      By "studs" I am assuming you mean the threaded portion of the trans which sticks up through the cowl. This is part of the main transmission body, and will necessitate the removal of the entire transmission. There are directions in the ST12 for R&I the trans, but you will need to note the position of the cables on teh central drum for reinstallation. This is quite a chore and I would determine for sure that the threads cannot be cleaned up in place before proceeding.
