1965 Body Mount Cushions

The body on my April 1965 is currently being painted and I am reading the frame for the body drop. I have read the archives and I am confused about body mount cushions. Body mount radiator support shims are welded in place. Mount #1 left and right had 3/8" aluminum spacers and shims, no rubber cushions. Right and left mounts #2 and #3 had only shims with dum-dum putty between the first shim and body mount bracket. Left and right mount #4 had an upper and lower rubber cushion set and shims. I do not believe that the body has been off the car prior to this restoration. The AIM shows a cushion set for left and right mount # 1 not the aluminum spacer and the body mount cushion supplier provided cushion set for the #1 and #4. What is the correct procedure?

The radiator mounts used "u" shaped shims, which were "often" welded in place, with no rubber isolation, and no other spacers. The #1 mounts used the aluminum spacers. The #2, #3, and #4 mounts used rubber donuts. All shims were taped in place prior to body drop, using "ultra special - top secret" 1 1/2" masking tape (which can be purchased from Quanta, at a dear price).
Buy yourself the body mount kit- it contains all hardware, and instructions, but not the atomic tape, which is not necessary.

I think you will find that #2 will have shims only.
