I have recently fulfilled a childhood dream and purchased a 1961 Corvette and joined NCRS - I did have a lot of help from several experienced Corvette owners and was a frequent observer on at this site before purchasing. The car is just a driver, but a lot of fun just the same. I have been working to "restore" to look as original as possible. Somewhere in its past lives, the car's hood was modified with an extremely ugly scoop and pins used to attach it to the body. I have all I need to replace the hood, but I am having trouble locating female hood latches. Corvette Central and the other major suppliers don't seem to have a supplier for reproduction parts. Does anyone out there have an idea where I may be able to find a set? I am not particular about original vs. quality reproductions. Thanks for your help and I am looking forward to further discussions.
