I have a #208 L-78 425 HP head question.
Here is what I have: one head has a S3 under the part number# (and no casting date), the other head has no S3 under the part number (no casting date) but an S3 is cast on the underside runner. I remember reading somewhere that an early early no date 208 head would have always had the S3 cast directly under the part number. Are both these heads correct for an early 65/425hp engine build.
