Temp. sending unit for 69 BB

Does the temp. sender use a straight tubular fitting or square fitting that pushes on from the side? I have seen both on 69 cars and mine was missing. On a car with VIN #0700 had the clear tubular type and the sender had a theated tip. Thank you.

    Trebor----

As far as I know, all 69s used a "pin" type terminal on the temperature sender. The connector on the green wire from the harness to the sender was a brass, "pin" connector with a "clear" plastic insulator.

      Joe,

Thank you. I was not sure which was correct. I'm just finishing up car and I am trying to make it as correct as possible. T.M
