I am looking for a correct POA valve for my '66 L36 coupe. The unit currently in the car is a replacement part - so say the judges - but I'm not sure what attributes to look for in the correct part.
There is a sheet metal bracket on the A/C box adjacent to the current unit, although there's no place on the POA valve to attach. I'm guessing that the correct unit will have a hole or mated bracket of some kind to fix it to the bracket.
I'd like to find a diagram, photo or detailed description of correct mid-year A/C assembly so I know what I'm looking for. Neither the judging manual or the AIM describes or illustrates clearly how the parts look or go together. Any suggestions?
Also, does anyone know of an aftermarket source for a/c hoses that feature the correct month/year markings?
