Has anyone had any luck finding a reasonably correct C2 ('65-'67) accelerator pedal? I've gotten two different ones from several suppliers, including Corvette Central and LICS, and both have a rock-solid molded-in internal steel reinforcement, with no "hinge" action at all between the lower portion that screws to the floor and the upper portion your foot works against.
I returned both of them with a letter explaining the problem - Corvette Central called me and said "they're supposed to be like that" (NOT), and LICS sent me a note that said "Try another dealer - we're having trouble with this vendor."
Anyone know where I can get one I don't have to put in a vise and work back and forth to fatigue-fracture the internal "hinge" in order to get it to work? The one in my car works (and "hinges") fine, but it's the old GM replacement with the molded squares on it (truck part?) instead of the narrow vertical rib pattern.
