The original wheel covers on my 65 are looking pretty rough. They shine where there's chrome, but there's lots of places where there's no chrome any more. They kind of look like they've been sand blasted in some areas, but I guess this is to be expected. Anyone know where I can get them refurbished, and approximately how much it would cost? Alternately, does anyone make good replacements, or would this be a waste of money?

Re: wheel cover reconditioning
Hello Mike; I believe that your hubcaps are stainless steel, not chrome plated. They can be highly polished and then re-painted. Iverson Automotive in Minnetonka, Minnesota has done some for me and others I know. They can take a really damaged, gouged cap and make it look like new. George Iverson advertises in Hemmings. If you can't find his phone number, E Mail me and I'll dig it up for you. He recently did a really gouged and bent 53-55 cap for me. It came back looking like new. It cost $125.00, but this cap took a lot of work ! Chuck Gongloff1963 Corvette Conv. 327/360 NCRS Top Flight
