Is there any problem with switching the larger rally wheels from a Monto
Carlo to a 1967 Corvette?

Sounds like trouble to me.

Gary -

That will reduce the clearance from the outside of the tire to the fender lip by another 1/2", and that area is pretty marginal to begin with; it will also reduce the clearance from the inside edge of the tire to the frame by the same amount.
