    ? on correct air-filter assembly

1970 350/300. Build# 10498. Build date was May 0f 70. Should it have the open assembly or the dual snorkel?

Re: ? on correct air-filter assembly

According to the 70-72 TIM&JG the transition in air filter style for all 1970s (except LT1s and LS6 which had open element through 1972) occurred around serial number 12,000. Since your car is about 2,000 before the transition number, you should have the open element style air cleaner. BTW, if you don't already have the 130+ page document packed with details it's available through this website. ~Juliet
