eastwood vs por-15

How does the Eastwood Rust encapsulator compare versus the POR-15. I just got the new eastwood catalog with the rust encapsulator on the front. It now comes in black. Is it easier to apply, does it do the same job as the POR-15?

I need something to paint most of my rear suspension components, and as much of the frame as I can reach. My frame has some surface rust. I was also looking to get some of the metal etch to prep the frame prior to painting.

I used some POR-15 on a "metal car" I restored and was not impressed with it and would not recommend it to anyone. I have never used the Eastwood product.

What didn't you like aobut it? And where/how did you use it?

I used it extensively when restoring a very rusty 70 AAR Cuda. I had some coming off a few places in sheets 2-3 years later (car was driven in all weather) and other places (like suspension parts) it seemed to perform about like $.99 spray paint. I was told I didn't prep right (I followed the instuctions). My $.02, Don H.
