    C2 Master Cylinder

I installed a rebuilt original master cylinder in my 63. Got all the air out of the system topped off the reservoir. Took the car for a ride. The breaks work good however the break pedal is low to the floor. Is there a way to adjust the pedal height?
Also maybe some of you numbers people can help me identify the old master cylinder I removed. It is similar to the 63 Corvette unit but has a screw on cap(Like a glass jar would have)and the break line attaches at the bottom of the unit. The part number is 618081 the date looked like G 1 8. I would like to figure out what it belongs too.
