I'm putting new carpet in my 72 and I'm having trouble getting the shoulder seat belt bolt to budge. I've tried to locate the bolt from under the car but can't find it. If I can't find the bolt underneath to oil the threads, just how hard can I ream on the bolt from above and not do damage? Thanks.

Re: rusted bolt
Donald,
The shoulder harness bolt threads into a plate which is riveted to the body. Unfortunately, this plate is between the frame rail and the body (if memory serves me correctly). It is very close to the "kick-up" near the rear wheel. You may be able to snake a tube into there and blast it with some lubricant. As for reaming it out, I can't answer that question.
