    C2 - '67 HVAC fan/blower motor

For 1967, is the blower motor & squirrel cage different w/ C60 A/C or are they interchangeable with non-A/C applications? Thanks, karl

      PS

I played with my new $ 99 IR electronic gun yesterday and yesterday at the outlets in my 67 AC coupe the temp measured was 43.5 degrees. It felt cold too.

Karl - From the SERVICE replacement perspective, the squirrel cage is the same for '63-67 Corvettes, w/ and w/o AC, P/N 3144684 (clock-wise rotation), G/N 8.857. Hope the info helps, Pete

Just a few years ago I ordered a brand new squirrel cage for my 70 from my local Chev dealer. Cost about $20 and ordered it one day and picked it up the next afternoon after it was shipped in. I believe Joe Lucia provided the part number for me.

            Hum.....

I thought the case of the A/C blower motor was equipped with a hole for mounting cold air return tube to cool windings/bearings while standard non-A/C blower motor was fully sealed without such a hole. Is my recollection faulty?

              Re: right...

I took GC's "no" to mean "no, they aren't interchangeable" -and upon looking more carefully in his catalog, there are indeed two different motors listed (and one squirrel cage for both). There is a hole in the side of my A/C motor housing as you described.

              Thanks to all who responded!
