    68 with Holley 6210

I removed the leaking Q-Jet from my 68 and installed a Holley 650 6210 double pumper in 1974. Discovered recently that the secondaries would not open. Tried opening the secondaries by hand and they would not move. Initially thought the secondaries throttle shaft was siezed in the base plate. I sprayed some Gumont carb cleaner in the secondary chamber aiming for the throttle shaft positions. The secondaries began working and it appears to me that the problem was throttle blades sticking to the carb body. The throttle shaft seemes to work freely.
I will plan on exercising the secondaries more on my 327/350. Has anyone experienced this?

there is a small screw in the secondary side baseplate that is turned from the bottom that limits how far the secondary butterflys can close and if they close too far they will bind in the the baseplate bore. check this.

Thanks for the tip Clem. If it sticks on me again I will make an adjustment on the secondaries.
